Australian Customers - Goods and Services Tax (GST) in Australia
The Royal Mint imports goods in to Australia and must adhere to the Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST) rules. This means that for any commemorative product sold with a selling price of less than AU$1000, the Royal Mint will pay the GST on your behalf. However, for any commemorative product with a selling price of more than AU$1000, a tax of 10% may be charged to you at customs. Please note there are different rules for investment products, such as some precious metal products, which are exempt from the Goods and services tax (GST).
