Celebrating Differences for an Inclusive Future
In 2022, we launched a commemorative UK 50p coin celebrating the 50th anniversary of Pride in London. The coin marked the first time we had celebrated the United Kingdom’s LGBTQ+ community on a UK coin, whilst forming part of our wider commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion. In 2024, staff from The Royal Mint proudly participated in Pride Cymru held in Cardiff, and included our own market stall. We continue to demonstrate our commitment to diversity and inclusion – holding a range of activities for staff during Neurodiversity Celebration Week, to promote awareness and understanding of neurodiversity among our employees, as well as National Inclusion Week, dedicated to celebrating inclusion and taking action to create inclusive workplaces.
