Supporting NHS Charities Together

The National Health Service (NHS) has been at the heart of British society since 1948. Supporting millions of people through the best and worst times of their lives, it provides care to all when it is needed the most, regardless of their financial circumstances. The NHS has also faced huge challenges, especially in recent years with the unprecedented pressure of the Covid-19 pandemic.

To show our gratitude for 75 years of care, dedication and devotion, we have pledged that NHS Charities Together will receive 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of each 75 Years of the NHS 2023 UK 50p Coin.

NHS Charities Together is the national charity providing extra support to NHS staff, patients and communities. Working with over 230 NHS charities throughout the United Kingdom, it ensures that funds raised are directed to where they are needed the most. From providing counselling support and training for staff, to investing in specialist medical equipment – the main goal for NHS Charities Together is to help the NHS go further so that everyone can have better health and care.

NHS Charities Together began as a membership organisation back in 2000 under the name Association of NHS Charities before changing their name to NHS Charities Together in 2018. When the Covid-19 pandemic hit in 2020, NHS Charities Together launched the first national appeal for the NHS, raising more than £150 million to support staff as they faced the biggest crisis in the organisation’s history.

Since then, NHS Charities Together has continued to raise money and awareness for NHS charities throughout the UK. It supports members by leading national fundraising campaigns, raising the profile of the incredible work that these charities do, and providing training and networking so they can have greater impact for patients and staff.
