Brilliant Uncirculated editions of the 2025 Annual Coin Set and 2024 Definitive Coin Set, plus the 2025 Premium Proof Coin Set will be available to purchase from The Royal Mint Experience gift shop from Thursday 2 January 2025 (subject to availability). Customers may also be able to place orders for other sets (depending on stock availability) at the Experience gift shop, either for collection or free delivery.

Featuring five brand-new commemorative coins, the 2025 Annual Sets feature stunning designs honouring the life and legacy of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, 200 years of the modern railway, 350 years of the Royal Observatory, Greenwich, the enduring success of the Red Arrows and stories of the Second World War. 

All proposed themes go through a rigorous planning and design selection process governed by an independent panel known as The Royal Mint Advisory Committee (RMAC).

The Royal Observatory, Greenwich £2, 200 Years of the Modern Railway £2, Red Arrows 50p and Stories of the Second World War 50p will be available to purchase individually throughout the year. Individual launch dates will be revealed throughout the year.

The Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother 2025 £5 coin will be available as part of the 2025 Annual Sets and may also feature in other sets and product formats in the future.

Base proof versions of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, the Royal Observatory, 200 Years of the Modern Railway and Stories of the Second World War are only available as part of the Annual Sets.

Silver Proof Piedfort versions of the Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother & Red Arrows coins are only available as part of the Annual Sets.

Red Arrows Silver Proof and Base Proof versions are only available as part of the Annual Sets.

Selected editions of the 2025 Annual Sets feature the definitive coins of His Majesty King Charles III’s reign.

A 2025 Brilliant Uncirculated Definitive Coin Set will also be available to purchase from 9am (GMT) on Thursday 2 January 2025.

For more than 50 years, His Majesty King Charles III has campaigned on environmental issues, passionately communicating the importance of preserving the Earth’s natural resources for future generations. The eight designs pay tribute to the four nations of the United Kingdom, as well as conservation and the natural world – subjects close to His Majesty The King’s heart.
